How it works

Bills combine an energy charge (units × slab rate) with a stack of fixed and variable add-ons.

  • Fixed charges = Rs/kW band × your sanctioned load.
  • FC surcharge (Rs 3.23/unit), plus FPA/QTA adjustments.
  • Electricity duty on the variable charge, then 18% GST on the subtotal.
  • Advance income tax for non-filer homes and businesses.

Frequently asked questions

How is an electricity bill calculated in Pakistan?

Units × the applicable per-unit rate gives your energy cost, then fixed charges, FC surcharge, any FPA/QTA adjustments, electricity duty, 18% GST and — for non-filers or businesses — advance income tax are added.

What is a protected vs unprotected consumer?

Protected domestic consumers (consistently low usage) get lower slab rates. Anyone above 200 units in a month is billed as unprotected, where the whole consumption is charged at the slab it lands in.

Why is my estimate slightly different from my bill?

Fuel Price Adjustment (FPA) and Quarterly Tariff Adjustment (QTA) change every month and aren't known in advance. Enter the per-unit adjustment printed on your bill to match it exactly.

Which companies does this cover?

All NEPRA DISCOs (LESCO, IESCO, FESCO, MEPCO, GEPCO, PESCO, HESCO, SEPCO, QESCO) and K-Electric. The consumer-end tariff is uniform; only the prior-year adjustment differs by DISCO.

Estimate on the Feb-2026 NEPRA schedule. FPA/QTA vary monthly and default to zero here. Verify against your printed bill; enter the per-unit adjustment for an exact match.
