Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the website at takhmeena.com and its subpages (the “Site”), operated by MUCO Apps (“we”, “us”, “our”). The Takhmeena mobile app for iOS and Android is covered by its own app privacy policy, because the app uses different services (Google AdMob and Firebase) than this Site.

It does not apply to third-party websites we link to — such as official FBR, NEPRA, OGRA or PTA portals, Google Play or the App Store — each of which has its own privacy practices.

We do not ask you to create an account, and the Site has no login, profile or sign-up. The figures you type into a calculator — your salary, units consumed, asset values, device model, property size and so on — are processed entirely inside your browser. They are never sent to our servers, stored by us, or shared with anyone.

We do not ask for or collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number or postal address (unless you choose to send us a message — see Section 7);
• Your CNIC, NTN, bank, salary or other financial account details;
• Your precise location, contacts, photos or files;
• Any information that directly identifies you.

The limited, mostly non-identifying data that does leave your browser is described in the sections below: standard web-server logs (Section 3), cookieless page-view analytics (Section 4), advertising data processed by Google (Section 5), reference-rate downloads (Section 6) and messages you send us (Section 7).

The Site is hosted on Vercel. Like every web host, Vercel automatically receives standard technical information when your browser requests a page — your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, requested URL, and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure, and diagnose errors. We do not use these logs to identify you. See Vercel’s privacy policy.

To see which calculators are useful and where the Site can be improved, we use Vercel Web Analytics. It is privacy-friendly by design: it does not use cookies, does not track you across websites, and does not build a profile of you. It records aggregated page views, the referring site, country and device category, using a hashed, daily-rotating identifier that cannot be linked back to you.

Analytics never receives the figures you enter into a calculator. Learn more in Vercel’s analytics privacy notice.

Takhmeena is free, and the Site may be supported by advertising served through Google AdSense, provided by Google LLC (and, for users in the EEA/UK/Switzerland, Google Ireland Limited). Google is a third-party vendor and uses cookies and similar technologies (such as the DoubleClick / IDE cookie and local storage) to serve and measure ads on this Site and across the web.

• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• To do this, Google may process your IP address, approximate location, browser and device information, the pages you view on the Site, and your interactions with ads (views and clicks).
• Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this Site through Google’s platform and may use their own cookies, subject to their own policies.

Your ad choices

• Opt out of personalised advertising from Google in Google Ads Settings.
• Opt out of many third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.com (EU).
• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Ads will still appear, but they will be less relevant to you.
• EEA, UK and Switzerland: where required by law, a consent message is shown before any advertising cookies are set. You can refuse personalised ads and change your choice at any time.

Google’s handling of this data is governed by Google’s own policies, not ours: Google Privacy Policy · How Google uses information from sites that use its services · Advertising cookies.

Tax slabs, utility tariffs, gold and silver prices, and solar component prices change over time. So that estimates stay current, some pages of the Site load an updated set of these reference values from our data source (hosted on Supabase). This is a one-way download of public reference data performed by our server; none of the figures you enter are uploaded as part of it, and the download carries no information about you.

If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, topic and message you choose to provide. The form is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form-to-email service that processes the submission solely to forward it to us and, per its policy, does not sell or retain your message beyond delivery. We use what you send us only to reply to you and to fix the issue you reported. We keep correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete it. The same applies if you email us directly.

Apart from the advertising cookies in Section 5, the Site stores only small preference settings in your browser:

• locale cookie — remembers whether you chose English or Urdu, so pages render in your language (expires after one year).
• theme (local storage) — remembers your light/dark preference if you toggled it.
• Where a calculator offers to remember recent inputs, those values are stored only in your browser’s local storage and are never sent to us.

These are strictly functional and contain no personal information. You can clear them at any time through your browser’s site-data settings. Fonts are self-hosted with the Site, so no request is made to Google Fonts.

The following third parties may process limited data when you use the Site:

• Vercel — hosting, server logs and cookieless analytics (Sections 3–4).
• Google AdSense and its certified ad partners — advertising (Section 5).
• Supabase — serves our reference-rate data (Section 6).
• Web3Forms — delivers contact-form messages (Section 7).

The Site also links to external resources — official government portals (FBR, NEPRA, OGRA, PTA, provincial Excise & Taxation), Google Play and the Apple App Store. Those sites are operated by third parties under their own privacy policies.

Takhmeena is a general-audience financial-utility website and is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the contact form, please contact us and we will delete it.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) — including the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising.

Because calculator inputs never leave your browser and we hold no account data, in most cases there is nothing on our side to retrieve or erase. The personal data we may hold is limited to messages you have sent us; you can ask us to delete these at any time using the contact details in Section 14. Advertising choices can be exercised directly through the links in Section 5. We do not sell your personal information.

The Site is served exclusively over encrypted HTTPS connections. Because calculations run in your browser and we operate no user database, the privacy risk to you is minimal. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data processed by third parties.

Takhmeena is designed for users in Pakistan but may be used from anywhere. Our hosting, analytics, advertising and form-delivery partners may process the limited data described above on servers located in other countries (including the United States and the European Union). By using the Site you understand that such processing may occur internationally under those partners’ policies.

All figures on Takhmeena are estimates only. Tax slabs, utility tariffs, solar and equipment prices, zakat/usher, PTA duty, and property/vehicle taxes change frequently and vary by area, vendor, provider and time. Always confirm official figures with the relevant authority before relying on them. The Site provides no financial, tax or legal advice. See our Terms of Use.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example to reflect new features, partners or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version on this page. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
